ProfitMaster XP 7.0 Graphic Scheduling - Quick Guide.

 

 

 

 

  1. The appointment block for the Current Record (ADD or EDIT operation) will be showing in LIGHT BLUE color. You can set the required Route/Time/Duration for this appointment by one of the options below.

 

    1. Click with Mouse on the Appointment-Block and while HOLDING the Mouse-Button DOWN, DRAG the Appointment to the desired Route/Time.
    2. RIGHT-Click the Appointment-Block and FILL-IN the explicit setting in the Dialog Box that will appear.

 

 

    1. Click the Appointment-Block - this will paint 4 handles (nodes) - Click and while HOLDING the Mouse-Button DOWN, STRETCH the Appointment-Block.

 

  1. You can manipulate ALL appointments (excluding those in YELLOW color) the exact same way as above. You may also flip the order of appointments on the screen, when a Job is hidden by another conflicting Job. To flip the order:

 

    1. Right-Click the top visible appointment.
    2. You will see the following menu:

    1. Click the "Flip order with conflict Job #..."
    2. The previously hidden Job, should now be visible.
    3. You may repeat this procedure to flip between multiple conflicts, or flip back to previous Job.

 

You may also Double-Click any appointment to suspend the Scheduling Window, and view the select Job as the current record. This option is not allowed if the Scheduling Window is activated from a New Record, or Edit Record operations.

Appointment-Blocks

 

    1. LIGHT BLUE      The Appointment-Block represents the Current ADD/EDIT operation.
    2. DARK BLUE      The Appointment-Block represents the Current Work-Order (when in IDLE mode).
    3. RED                 Appointment-Block which has a Time Conflict with some other Job, which is hidden behind it.
    4. YELLOW          Appointment-Block for an already INVOICED Job (No modifications will be allowed in the Schedule, unless activated from an EDIT operation).
    5. ORANGE          Appointment-Block for an already INVOICED Job (No modifications will be allowed in the Schedule, unless activated from an EDIT operation) which has a Time Conflict with some other Job, which is hidden behind it.
    6. GREEN             The Appointment-Block for all other Jobs.

 

In addition, all Conflicts are noted with "!" (Red Exclamation Mark) as well as a:

 "*** Conflict with Job #NNNNN ***"

message, at the top of the Yellow Details Box.

 

Day Headings

 

 

 


a.       RED                 There are Jobs scheduled for that day, which can NOT be displayed because the appointment time falls outside of the visible time span (Start to Start + Hours).

b.       DARK GREEN   All Jobs scheduled for that day can be seen on the schedule.

 

  1. Settings and Buttons at the top of the Schedule

 

 

 


a.       From Date - Specify the Starting-Date for the visible schedule. After explicitly changing this setting, you should Click the Refresh-Button for the setting to take effect.

b.      Previous Day Button - When clicking the Up-Arrow (Previous Day), the Starting-Date of the schedule will be reset 1 day back.

c.       Previous Day Button - When clicking the Down-Arrow (Next Day), the Starting-Date of the schedule will be reset 1 day forward.

 

d.      Days - Specify the number of days visible on the schedule. After explicitly changing this setting, you should click the Refresh-Button for the setting to take effect.

 

e.       Start - Specify the Starting-Hour for the visible schedule. After explicitly changing this setting, you should Click the Refresh-Button for the setting to take effect.

 

f.         Hours - Specify the number of hours visible on the schedule. After explicitly changing this setting, you should click the Refresh-Button for the setting to take effect.

 

g.       Route - You may click this Drop-Down List, to EXCLUDE all other routes except one Specific-Route you want to view. You may click the "All Routes" option to restore the default view of ALL routes.

 

h.       Add Route Button - You may click the Add-Route Button to create additional Route[s] to be available on the schedule. In the Dialog Box that will appear: you may give the New-Route a name, as well as specify whether the New-Route should be available on the Schedule, even if there will be NO appointments set for that route.

 

i.         Refresh Button - You may click this button to force any changes entered into the <From-Date>, <Days>, <Start>, <Hours> fields to take effect. This will recalculate and re-display the schedule, to reflect the settings of the above fields.

 

  1. You may click the Scroll-Bar Up/Down or Left/Right Arrows scroll the display, incase the whole schedule does NOT fit within the Visible Window. You may also click and DRAG the Thumb-Elevator, in order to shift the visible area Up/Down or Left/Right a proportional amount. Finally, you may click just Above/Below or Left/Right of the Thumb-Elevator, in order to force a FULL PAGE shift of the visible area in the desired direction.
