ProfitMaster Selected by Carpet One!

After evaluating available software packages, ProfitMaster was selected by Carpet One as the package to be used by their franchises to manage the day to day activities of their business. PTS is proud to welcome Carpet One to our growing list of loyal customers.

Carpet One is the largest Carpet Retailer in the U.S. with over 1000 stores throughout the nation. This year Carpet One had established the Carpet One Carpet Cleaning franchise. It already operates some 40 stores and many more are expected soon. Fritz Thompson (President) Wrote in a letter to his franchisees "PTS is Light Years ahead of their competition" We couldn’t be more flattered.

Sears Carpet Cleaning (US) Upgrades to the Windows Version.

Ron (Pinkas) had a great time in San Antonio TX at the SEARS convention where he shared 4 - 1 hour classes with Ron May introducing more than 80 associates to the new Windows Version of ProfitMaster. All attendees received the latest Windows SR-3 Release CD.

Unfortunately, several minor issues involving the Remittance Report and Uploading to Sears were not resolved in time for the Convention release of Windows SR-3. These issues pertain to the Windows version ONLY; the DOS version is completely functional and may be used to perform these tasks. The new CD with the corrections will be sent out shortly. The informative classes consisted mostly of free form "Question and Answers" between associates and the Ron's. Also in attendance at these classes was Carlos Galarce, Systems Director in charge of In Home Services for Sears.In addition, CanWay (Sears Carpet Cleaning in Canada) released the new SR-3 (DOS) to all associates in their recent convention in Ottawa Canada.

The new SR-3 was just mailed next week to all GOLD Update Subscribers. This release will not be released to the general public. Next release 6.0 will include additional features and is scheduled to be released in May-June 99.

Enhancements

The following changes have been incorporated into ProfitMaster. Many of these improvements were contributed by our loyal customers.

Version:   SR-2 (December 98)

• The IMPROVED Calendar Window now includes Daily Totals as well as a break down of Jobs, Estimates and Redos.

• Enhanced support for YEAR 2000 issues so that when you enter '00' the program will default to '2000' instead of '1900'.

• Added support for Automatic Debit/Credit of technicians when an Over/Short is recorded when entering payments.

• Enhanced F10 (New Session) feature.

• Added support for Custom Dispatching and Custom Work Order printing. The NEW (optional), Custom Dispatch Report, is sorted by the Route first, and than by the time slot, with page breaks between routes.

• When looking-up a Job, the Most Recent Job for the customer will now appear at the TOP of the list rather than the Oldest Job.

• Finally, we added support for the NEW InstantPrintServer (see more info in our December NewsLetter).

Version:   SR-3 (April 99)

• You may now define your ZIP CODES database with support for DUAL TAX, Automatic Crew/Route and Company ID. You can therefore have an infinite number of taxes up to 2 per each zip or postal code. You will now easily be able to remove misspelled city names.

• You may now resize columns at the scheduling Details Window and even resort the detail by the Crew/Route, Lead Tech or the original time sorting.

• You may now modify the Crew/Route, Lead Tech, and the duration of the Job right at the Details Window.

• You may now view the Whole Job right from the Details Window by clicking the NEW Select Button

• Major improvements in the speed of the the following reports:

Sales Analysis Customer History
Accounts Receivables Agent Commission
Source Commission Tech Compensation
Agent Performance Source Performance
Zip Performance Tech Performance


• The phone Dialer Module now uses the Standard Microsoft Phone Dialer of Win 95, Win 98 or Win NT. No MODEM settings in the ProfitMaster are required as it relies on the standard setting built into Windows. Including support for the Dialing Properties (Calling From Location, Dial 9 for … etc)

COMMERCIAL CONTRACT MODULE (REOCCURING WORK) NOW AVAILABLE!

This latest addition to the ProfitMaster allows you to define a contract listing multiple services, each with its own frequency. This module will normally be used by those catering to Commercial Customers, where the services involve many visits at regular intervals. Typical candidate are Janitorial Companies and other who contract their reoccuring services for a contracted period. Price of this module is $795 for S/U plus $400 per additional user. For a LIMITED TIME we now offer an INTRODUCTORY SPECIAL of $595 plus $300 per additional user. These prices are in addition to the ProfitMaster price. This module does require the standard ProfitMaster.
